The Situation

A Ripon property with no central heating (electric storage heaters only) had an old gravity-fed, low-pressure hot water cylinder — uninsulated, roughly 30 years old. One of the immersion heater tappings failed and split, triggering an emergency call-out to prevent serious flood damage to the ceiling below.

What We Did

Recommended and installed a larger-capacity unvented cylinder — a better fit for a property with no central heating — along with the electrical side of the installation at the same time, and set up the controls.

The Result

High-pressure hot water, a significantly more energy-efficient system, and the customer back up and running within 12 hours of the initial emergency call.
